Selected by Arizona Cardinals
Round 1, pick 18 (18 overall)
BIO: All-Conference selection as a senior, earning some All-America honors after totaling 73 tackles and leading the team with 22 tackles for loss and eight sacks. Enjoyed a break out season in 2001, garnering second team All-Conference honors and finishing the year with 62-18-10. Started 10 contests as a sophomore posting 50-12-9.

POSITIVES: Athletic lineman that showed a steady path of progress the past three seasons. Quick off the snap, plays with forward lean and wedges his way through block. Keeps his feet moving up the field, fluid changing direction and smooth moving about the field. Effectively stays away from opponents with good hand technique, redirects to the action and immediately alters his angle of attack. Forceful and fast rushing the edge, yet displays a good head and quickly locates the ball defending the run. Holds his ground against blocks and rarely off his feet. Effective off the line of scrimmage playing in space.

NEGATIVES: Not explosive or sudden. Lacks bulk and engulfed by larger opponents. Suffered with nagging injuries throughout his senior campaign.

ANALYSIS: Top athlete with a lot of upside potential for the next level and a prospect who should grow into a complete defensive end in a four-three alignment.

PROJECTION: Early Second Round
