2003 NFL Draft 2003 NFL Draft

Grading System
Position: OLB
Class: Sr
School: NW St.
Conference: Southland
Ht., Wt.: 6'0, 250
40 Time: 4.78
Grade: 3.1

BIO: First-team All-Conference selection totaling 52 tackles, 7 1/2 tackles for loss and 31/2 sacks. Used in a three-point stance in college.

POSITIVES: Athletic defender who must now learn to play off the line of scrimmage. Quick off the snap, keeps his pads low to the ground and smooth moving about the field , making plays in every direction. Immediately alters his angle of attack, pursing the action laterally, bearing down on the ball carrier with a burst of closing speed. Relatively effective dropped off the line of scrimmage or playing in space.

NEGATIVES: Undersized and rather easily handled at the point by bigger lineman.

ANALYSIS: Lacks height for a true outside linebacker but could make the two deep in a three-four scheme.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
