BIO: First-team All-Conference selection as a senior after leading Houston with 145 tackles, also posting one interception and breaking up seven passes. Amassed 174-1-4 as a junior after 87-5-8 the prior year. Started three years for the Cougars after transferring from Garden City Community College. POSITIVES: Physical safety who loves to mix it up. Hard hitting, looks to intimidate ball carriers and displays a straight line burst of speed. Stuns opponents at the point of attack with jaw breaking tackles. Ran well at the Scouting Combine. NEGATIVES: Adequate sideline-to-sideline range but first move is usually up the field and gets caught out of position or quick to bite on play action passes. Would rather hit than wrap up and tackle. ANALYSIS: Run defending safety who may be able to flourish in a cover two system and should be a good special teams player. PROJECTION: Late Seventh Round
