BIO: Played 13 games as a senior posting 38 tackles, nine tackles for loss and four sacks, regularly filling in at left end behind starter Jamal Green. Started five of eight games the prior season totaling 30-4-4. Played at Hinds Community College prior to his arrival at Miami and one of the most dominant defensive players at that level, posting 93 tackles and 20 QB sacks in 2000.
POSITIVES: Athletic lineman still progressing on the football field. Breaks down well, plays low with leverage and quickly alters his angle of attack, getting laterally to make a tackle. Disciplined, effective off the line of scrimmage and stays with the action. Pursues and then catches the ball carrier from the back side.
NEGATIVES: Lacks playing strength, handled at the point by opposing tight ends or easily ridden from his angle of attack. Does not possess the explosive first step off the snap. Must improve his playing strength.
ANALYSIS: Did not play at the level of dominance he showed prior to his arrival at Miami but flashed brilliance instead. Needs to completely transfer his athletic abilities onto the football field and get accustomed to a better level of competition.
PROJECTION: Mid Third Round
