Round 4, pick 32 (129 overall)
BIO: Sophomore entry who did not play in 2000 after losing the season to academic ineligibility. Totaled 32 tackles with nine tackles for loss and eight sacks last season. Registered 40-12-9 the prior year, setting a school record for sacks in a single season. Used in a three point stance at defensive end.

POSITIVES: Gifted athlete rounding into a football player. Breaks down, plays with leverage and rarely off his feet. Fluid in all aspects of the game, displays good footwork and a quick first step to the action. Immediately alters his angle of attack, pursues the action from the backside and has an explosive burst of closing speed. Holds his ground against blocks and strong tackling ball carriers at the point.

NEGATIVES: Lacks bulk and had difficulty getting away from bigger blockers on the line. Rarely asked to play in space.

ANALYSIS: Tremendous athlete coming off a terrific Combine where he tested well and displayed top linebacker skills during the drill segment. Explosive, fast yet at the same time displayed a good degree of intelligence. Requires time to get adjusted to a new position and must learn to make plays in reverse as well as up the field. Solid long term prospect at strong side linebacker.

PROJECTION: Mid Third Round
