BIO: Celebrated Division I-AA passer who finished his senior season completing 54.3 percent of his passes for 2,211 yards with 13 TDs and 14 INTs. All-Conference and All-America choice as a junior throwing for 59.9 percent-3,200-23-5. Played sparingly his first two seasons in the program. All-Academic choice the past four seasons.
POSITIVES: Accurate thrower who makes good decisions in the pocket. Sets up with solid fundamentals, throws with an over the top delivery and very effective within 15 yards. Throws a catchable ball, nicely times the outs and takes the safe underneath outlet rather than forcing his passes down the field. Sells the play action pass and displays the ability to elude the rush.
NEGATIVES: Only marginal arm strength and cannot drive the ball downfield or zip the outs. Accuracy worsens the further down the field he throws the ball. Short and has passes batted away.
ANALYSIS: Tore up the competition as a junior then came back to earth last season. His feel for the position and intellect for the game could make him desirable to have on the sidelines as a third QB.
PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
