BIO: Started 13 games as a senior, leading the team in tackles with 119, also posting 9 1/2 tackles for loss, five sacks and breaking up seven passes. Junior totals were 51-5-2 in seven starts after seeing limited action as a reserve linebacker his first two seasons in the program. Used at both middle and weak side linebacker as a senior. POSITIVES: Tough and active linebacker best in the box. Displays a good head for the ball, finds his way through the traffic and stacks up well against the run. Plays with discipline, stays with assignments and chases to get involved in the play. Slides off blocks laterally and quick filling the gaps up the field. NEGATIVES: Lacks lateral movement skills or the ability to quickly alter his angle of attack. Not effective redirecting to oncoming ball carriers or overly efficient. ANALYSIS: Solid run defender but his limited skills in pass defense coupled with marginal size-speed numbers makes it an uphill battle at the next level. PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
