BERNARD RILEY
Position: DT
Class: Sr
School: Southern Cal
Conference: Pac-10
Ht., Wt.: 6'1½, 315
40 Time: 5.11
Grade: 3.2

BIO: Three-year starter who totaled 25 tackles, one tackle for loss, and a single sack as a senior after 26-5-1 the prior year. Played only five games in ’01 due to torn ligaments in his right knee. Sophomore totals were 20-3-0.

POSITIVES: Short, squat inside run stuffer who displays a good degree of athleticism. Breaks down well, plays with leverage and a heady lineman who quickly locates the ball. Quick with his hands and displays a nice arm-over move as well as a short burst of speed pursuing the ball carrier.

NEGATIVES: Lacks the great first step off the snap and handled at the point of attack.

ANALYSIS: Played reasonably well as a senior though his game lacked the edge shown prior to his knee injury.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
