BIO: Three-year starter who finished his senior campaign with 62 tackles, two INTs and six pass defenses. First-team All-Conference choice as a junior after 75-5-10. Sophomore totals were 38-4-10. POSITIVES: Tough, cognizant CB coming off a mediocre campaign. Displays good ball skills and wherewithal on the field, staying with the play and not blowing coverages. Quickly plants and breaks on the ball, has a burst of closing speed and works to get a hand in, deflecting away throws. Defends the run, comes up the field on screen plays and a solid football player. NEGATIVES: Does more hitting than wrap up tackling. Unnecessarily struggles with big opponents and seemingly intimidated at times. Gets turned. ANALYSIS: Highly ranked coming into the season but took a step back last year and then capped it off with a poor performance at the Senior Bowl. Not as bad as he looked in Mobile, and if he gets his confidence back playing to his capabilities, a solid corner in either press coverage or backed off the line of scrimmage at the next level.
