BIO: Struggled with injuries as a senior, playing nine games and totaling 48 tackles, two INTs with six pass defenses. Honorable mention All-WAC as a junior posting 69-3-14. Second-team All-Conference pick as a sophomore with 74-1-13. Impact player on special teams at SMU and blocked several kicks in the past. POSITIVES: Technically sound cover corner with a good feel for the position. Fluid back pedaling off the line, smooth in his hips and loses nothing in transition. Affords tight coverage, runs downfield with opponents and has QBs looking in the opposite direction. Reads the play, knows where opponents are on the field and displays a nice move on the ball. Good athlete with explosive closing and recovery speed. NEGATIVES: Not overly aggressive against the run, nor is he effective in press coverage. Bea10 out by taller receivers. ANALYSIS: Tough to judge off his senior season since he struggled through most of it with injuries but a fine corner effective backed off the line of scrimmage or in zone coverage. Needs to pick up the physical nature of his game, but a prospect who could develop into a starter down the line. PROJECTION: Mid Second Round
