2003 NFL Draft 2003 NFL Draft

Grading System
Position: ILB
Class: Sr
School: SMU
Conference: WAC
Ht., Wt.: 5'10, 232
40 Time: 4.74
Grade: 3.08

BIO: Three-year starter and All-Conference selection as a senior. Led the SMU defense in tackles every season since his sophomore campaign, posting 89 tackles with nine tackles for loss and two INTs as a senior, after 110 tackles the prior year and a career high 130 as a sophomore.

POSITIVES: Hard working, aggressive linebacker with a great head for the ball. Disciplined, plays assignment football and does not get caught out of position. Aggressive, throws his body around the action and likes to mix it up.

NEGATIVES: Gets depth on his pass drops but not effective in coverage, lacks the great range and top speed. Undersized and gets caught up in the wash moving laterally.

ANALYSIS: Undersized and does not have the speed to be considered at safety but a hard working player who could back up in a four-three alignment and be productive on special teams.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
