GENE MRUCZKOWSKI
Position: C
Class: Sr
School: Purdue
Conference: Big Ten
Ht., Wt.: 6'2, 300
40 Time: 5.35
Grade: 3.35

BIO: Four-year starter who dressed for 48 consecutive games with the first team. Played left guard his initial two campaigns before moving to center as a junior. Multi All-Academic selection in the past. Tore a knee ligament late in the year and may not be ready to play until September.

POSITIVES: Heady and hard working lineman best in confined quarters. Quickly sets off the snap of the ball, stays square and jolts opponents with his hands. Strong at the point, turns opponents out of the play and uses good body positioning to wall off defenders. Fights hard and stays with the action.

NEGATIVES: Stiff, lacks body adjustment and has difficulty playing in space. Starts low to the ground but creeps up in his stance and eventually blocks tall.

ANALYSIS: Marginal athlete with limited physical skills but tenacity and intellect give him a slight chance at the next level. Knee injury knocks him out of draft consideration.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
