2003 NFL Draft 2003 NFL Draft

Grading System
Position: OLB
Class: Sr
School: W. Kentucky
Conference: Gateway
Ht., Wt.: 6'0½, 224
40 Time: 4.62
Grade: 3.26

BIO: Four-year starter awarded All-Conference honors in the past. Finished his senior season with 93 tackles, 31 tackles for loss and 13 sacks over the course of a 15 game schedule. Junior totals were 57-19-8 after 86-17-8 the prior year. Intercepted a total of five passes in college.

POSITIVES: Explosive linebacker best moving up the field. Aggressive and always working to get involved in the action yet at the same time disciplined and plays assignment football. Moves well laterally, strong at the point of attack and brings down ball carriers on initial contact. Gets adequate depth on pass drops and displays decent range.

NEGATIVES: Lacks the great instincts or anticipation, has some hesitation to his game and struggles when the ball is in the air. Slow shedding blocks or redirecting to the action.

ANALYSIS: Good size-speed numbers for a weak side linebacker or even a safety but deficient pass cover skills will hamper him at the next level.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
