RYAN JOHNSON
Position: HB
Class: Sr
School: Montana St.
Conference: Big Sky
Ht., Wt.: 6'0, 205
40 Time: 4.65
Grade: 3.1

BIO: Carried the ball 261 times as a senior for 1,096 yards, with seven TDs, also catching 27 passes for 163 yards. Junior totals were 303-1,537-14 on the ground with 18-201-1 as a pass catcher. All-Conference selection as a senior and three time academic All-America honoree.

POSITIVES: Heady ball carrier who translates his classroom intelligence onto the football field. Displays excellent vision, follows blocks and quickly finds the running lanes. Will pick and slide through the traffic and runs with a good degree of intelligence. Also plays with an aggressive style as he attacks defenders, putting his shoulders down when being tackled. Seems to enjoy blocking duties.

NEGATIVES: Runs a little upright and lacks the ability to elude defenders or create if nothing is available. Also best on the interior and will not beat defenders around the corner.

ANALYSIS: May never be a feature runner at the next level but takes well to coaching and does the little things well.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
