Round 5, pick 2 (137 overall)
BIO: Three-year All-Conference performer and earned All-America accolades as a senior. Posted 92 tackles, three INTs and seven pass defenses last season after 106-1-5 the prior year. Outstanding special teams player who has multiple punt blocks to his credit and one of the better coverage teams players in the nation four years running.

POSITIVES: Athletic safety who will earn his wage on special teams at the next level. As a defensive back he displays sideline-to-sideline range, defends the run and flies around the field. Instinctive, reads the action and also disciplined.

NEGATIVES: Marginal skills in pass coverage; gets beat on fakes, lacks the great move on the ball and does not flash on the scene.

ANALYSIS: Better making plays up the field than in reverse on defense and limited in his abilities to be used in man-to-man cover schemes. Many deficiencies will be overlooked as his special teams skills immediately alter the course of a game in his team's favor.

PROJECTION: Late Third Round
