Grading System
STEVEN CAIN
Position: OG
Class: Sr
School: Furman
Conference: Southern
Ht., Wt.: 6'4, 285
40 Time: 5.14
Grade: 3.12

BIO: Two-year starter at left tackle and All-Conference selection as a senior.

POSITIVES: Tough, hard working lineman best in confined quarters. Blocks with forward lean, stays square and displays strength at the point, turning defenders off the line. Makes effective use of his hands, cognizant of assignments and works well with line-mates. Displays arm punch, walls opponents from the action and stays with the play.

NEGATIVES: Bends at the waist, struggles with his footwork and 10ds to step out protecting the edge, rather than sliding his feet. Big and lumbers around the field, not a natural knee bender or is he effective on the second level. Sustains his blocks for only short periods.

ANALYSIS: Has growth potential and understands the position which could get him a spot on the two deep on the next level.

PROJECTION: Late Seventh Round
