BIO: Three-year starter and cousin to former Badger lineman Ben Johnson. Second-team All-Conference selection as a senior.
POSITIVES: Tough, nasty blocker on the pivot who opens the middle of the field. Quick off the snap into his blocks, easily turns opponents out of the play and viciously attacks defenders. Smart, stays with his assignments and keeps opponents in front of him. Immediately gets out to the second level and displays the abilities to annihilate linebackers. Fights with his hands, extends his arms and strong in his upper body. Anchors in pass protection and controls opponents at the point once engaged.
NEGATIVES: Bends at the waist, not overly effective in space and lacks the ability to move laterally or pull across the line of scrimmage. Does not adjust all that well and lacks pop at the point of attack.
ANALYSIS: Had a nice senior campaign but was not the devastating force many thought he would turn out to be. Played guard at the Senior Bowl which helps his cause. A prospect with a large amount of upside potential should he get back on the right track.
PROJECTION: Late Third Round
