BIO: Starting corner the past two seasons after making his presence known playing special teams as a sophomore and free safety as a true freshman. All-Conference selection last season posting 48 tackles, four INTs and breaking up 15 passes. Totaled 41-2-15 the prior year. Also averaged 12.3 yards on 19 punt returns as a senior. POSITIVES: Solid cover corner who's shown a steady progression the past Four-years. Smooth transitioning off the line, fluid in his hips and stays with opponents as they leave their routes. Instinctive, reads the QB then quickly plants and breaks on the ball. Top ball skills and hands going for the pick. NEGATIVES: Though he defends screen plays and supports the run would rather knock down than wrap up and tackle. Lacks body strength and not effective in press coverage. Plays back on his heels at times. ANALYSIS: Middle round selection that would be effective as a zone cornerback in nickel packages. Could develop into a solid cover man backed off the line of scrimmage in time. PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
