BIO: Top back-up early in college who started the past Two-years, impacting as both a corner and special teams player. Second-team All-Conference selection as a cornerback and all purpose player his senior season posting 61 tackles, four INTs and breaking up eight passes. First-team All-American return specialist leading the league averaging 17 yards on 43 punt returns, bringing four back into the end zone for scores. Third-team All-Conference choice as a junior registering 31-3-14 at cornerback and averaging 14.2 yards on 33 punt returns with one score.
POSITIVES: Game impacting return specialist who offers solid cover skills. Fluid pedaling off the line, smooth turning to run with opponents and loses nothing in transition. Likes to mix it up and bump opponents throughout the route, quick closing on the ball and possesses a burst of recovery speed. Positions himself to make a play on the ball, works to get a hand in and displays a good feel for coverage. Alert, reads receivers eyes and keeps the action in front of him. Likes to mix it up, defends the run and wraps up tackling. Explosive as a return specialist displaying open field running skills handling the ball and immediately alters the tempo of a game.
NEGATIVES: Not tall and has difficulty with larger opponents. Lacks the downfield speed and gets turned on occasion. Had a terrible performance at the Senior Bowl.
ANALYSIS: Much better player than he showed during the week of practice in Mobile. Cover skills are of the mid-round variety but his return abilities could push him into the late part of day one.
PROJECTION: Late Fourth Round
