BIO: Two-year starter and All-Conference selection as both a senior and red-shirt junior. Carried the ball 347 times for 1,601 yards and 17 scores last season, catching 12 passes for 63 yards. Sat out the 2001 season after diagnosed with a benign tumor in his right heel. Totals the prior campaign were 151-841-10 on the ground with 3-47-1 as a pass catcher.

POSITIVES: Big interior back who's proven he can handle the load of the offense. Patient runner that finds the lanes, works to finish the play and rarely gets knocked off his feet by the first defender. Packs a wallop and carries opponents several yards before being brought down or falls forward when tackled, picking up precious yards. Tremendous strength in his lower body, leg drive and keeps his feet moving up the field.

NEGATIVES: Not a nifty or elusive ball carrier, lacks the great footwork and only marginal skills running outside of tackle. Lacks a burst through the hole, skills in the open field and only an average receiver.

ANALYSIS: Grind-it-out, work-horse type running back who needs a lot of carries. Proved at the Senior Bowl he does not have the speed to be a feature runner at the next level but could be a competent short yardage ball handler.

PROJECTION: Early Fourth Round
