BIO: All-American and first team All-Conference choice the past two seasons. Started 12 games as a senior totaling 77 catches for 1,341 yards and an amazing 35 TDs. Junior totals were 81-1,682-32 including playoff games. Second-team All-Conference choice as a red-shirt sophomore posting 56-967-8. Set conference and school records for TDs and points scored in a season as well as a single game record for touchdown catches in a single contest. Recently ran a pair of 4.47’s during individual workouts.
POSITIVES: Gifted receiver with outstanding natural skills. Displays a tremendous feel for the position, good wherewithal and always on the same page as the QB. Reads the defense, finds the open spot in the field and always makes himself an available target. Displays focus and concentration, looks the pass in then turns it upfield picking up yardage running after the catch. Makes the difficult reception in a crowd, adjusting to the errant throw and using his body to shield away defenders. Solid route runner quick into his breaks, then comes back to the ball on exit.
NEGATIVES: Does a bit of body catching and not a wide out that plucks the ball out of the air. Lacks the deep speed or the ability to get separation down the field.
ANALYSIS: Besides his productivity, displayed the penchant to make big plays during the game's important moments. Lacks the great size-speed numbers but route running skills coupled with reliability should see him fighting to be a team's fifth receiver next September.
PROJECTION: Mid Seventh Round
