2003 NFL Draft 2003 NFL Draft

Grading System
Position: OLB
Class: Sr
School: North Dakota St.
Conference: North Central
Ht., Wt.: 6'2½, 255
40 Time: 4.85
Grade: 3.19

BIO: Four-year starter awarded All-Conference and All-America honors in the past. Injured as a senior and accumulated 19 tackles, 2 1/2 tackles for loss and three sacks. Junior totals were 34 tackles with 11 sacks after a career high 40 tackles the prior season. Lined up as a defensive end or rush linebacker with his hand on the ground.

POSITIVES: Fundamentally sound defender who gives top effort until the whistle blows. Plays low with leverage, strong at the point of attack and forcefully makes his way up the field. Works to get involved in the play, displays a good head for the ball and quickly locates the action.

NEGATIVES: More of a straight line defender who lacks a quick, fluid change of direction, balance and overall speed. Rarely used off the line of scrimmage or asked to play in space.

ANALYSIS: Best opportunity would be as a back-up linebacker in a three-four system where he is stood up over tackle.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
