2003 NFL Draft 2003 NFL Draft

Grading System
Position: S
Class: Sr
School: Michigan
Conference: Big Ten
Ht., Wt.: 5'11, 200
40 Time: 4.61
Grade: 3.31

BIO: Three-year starter who posted 21 tackles, two INTs and one pass defended last season in nine games. Led the team averaging 10.8 yards on 28 punt returns. Junior totals were 11-0-1 in five games after missing ex10sive action in 2001 with a shoulder injury.

POSITIVES: Tough, hard working safety whose injuries have limited his development. Physical defender that quickly recognizes his assignments, works well with cornerbacks and flies around the football. Fluid in man coverage, out positions opponents and works to be an intimidator.

NEGATIVES: Lacks a sense of timing or anticipation, loses a sense of where he is on the field and usually a half step late arriving on the scene.

ANALYSIS: Seemed like an up and coming prospect after the 2000 season, but injury problems hurt his play on the football field and now become a concern projecting him to the next level.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
