Round 1, pick 8 (8 overall)
BIO: Three-year starter who also saw limited action with the first team as a freshman in 1999. All-Conference selection as a senior after winning Honorable Mention All-League honors the prior two seasons. All-Academic choice every season since his sophomore campaign. Played every position on the offensive line but center at Utah.

POSITIVES: Athletic line prospect with a good feel for the position and head for the game. Quick setting in pass protection, bends his knees and plays with leverage. Immediately gets his hands into opponents, displays arm punch and effectively uses blocking angles or body positioning to wall out defenders. Stays square, adjusts and keeps opponents in front of him. Fights throughout the play, stays with blocks and works hard. Adequate skills blocking on the second level and displays the ability to kick out or pull across the line of scrimmage. Works with linemates, patient and plays smart football.

NEGATIVES: Though adequate blocking for the run lacks the dominant base, has a tall, thin build and does not drive defenders off the line of scrimmage. Can shuffle and slide but does not display the great blocking range.

ANALYSIS: Solid tackle prospect who can start on the weak side and perhaps grow into a strong side blocker. May not have the great upside potential and more of a "what you see is what you get" type of player.
