CHRIS BROWN
Position: S
Class: Sr
School: UAB
Conference: C-USA
Ht., Wt.: 6'0½, 195
40 Time: 4.52
Grade: 3.44

BIO: Second-team All-Conference selection as a senior after totaling 87 tackles, four INTs and breaking up 12 passes. Started every game the prior two seasons totaling 51-2-15 and 51-3-10 as a junior and senior, respectively. Played nine games with the first team as a red-shirt freshman registering 57 tackles and breaking up six passes. Used at both cornerback and safety for UAB.

POSITIVES: Nice-sized, tough defensive back best on the inside. Technically sound and plays with solid fundamentals, takes good angles to the action, displays good instincts and a head for the ball. Fluid to the sidelines and offers a solid break on the pass. Willing to come up the field and mix it up against the run.

NEGATIVES: Lacks overall speed, explosion and cannot recover. Usually a half step slow arriving on the spot and not effective in man-to-man coverage or backed off the line.

ANALYSIS: Did not distinguish himself in the post season when he was used exclusively at corner but has the size and brains to be a two deep cover safety.

PROJECTION: Late Fifth Round
