Robert Johnson - TE Position: TE
Class: Underclassman
School: Auburn
Conference: SEC
Ht., Wt.: 6'5½, 278
40 Time: 4.91
Grade: 3.79

BIO: Junior entry who posted career numbers last season with 30 receptions for 365 yards and four scores. 2001 totals were 17-225-3 after 12-168-3 the prior season and named to the Freshman all-SEC Team.

POSITIVES: Big, athletic tight end who dominates the game when focused. Strong, easily rides opponents from their angle of attack as a blocker or displays solid footwork in pass protection. Extends his arms, controls defenders and also gets movement from his run blocks. Fluid releasing off the line to his pass routes, makes the difficult catch with defenders draped on him or makes the reception in stride adjusting to the errant throw. Runs well laterally and picks up positive yardage after the reception. Reads the defense, makes himself an available target and occasionally sneaks it downfield.

NEGATIVES: Not quick off the snap, lacks forty speed and does a bit of standing around. Loses focus, concentration and lazily lets the pass get inside him or watches it slip through his hands.

ANALYSIS: Physically impressive on the field and at times plays that way but must concentrate on the task at hand and improve the small details of his position. Should he accomplish that, a productive number one tight end at the next level.
