GABRIEL REID
Position: TE
Class: Sr
School: BYU
Conference: MWC
Ht., Wt.: 6'3½, 255
40 Time: 4.78
Grade: 3.4

BIO: Played sparingly with the first team as a senior and collected 18 passes for 192 yards with five scores after 5-79-3 as a junior when he was the third tight end. Named to the All-Academic team in the past. Brother Spencer Reid played linebacker for the Carolina Panthers. Spent Two-years on a religious mission and will be 26 years of age next summer.

POSITIVES: Athletic prospect with limited playing experience. Nimble tight end who breaks down, bends his knees and plays with leverage. Quickly releases off the line of scrimmage, finds the soft spot in the defense and adjusts to the errant pass, catching the ball away from his body. Adequate route runner who comes back to the ball, shield away opponents and makes the difficult reception in a crowd. Blocks with a nasty attitude displaying solid footwork in pass protection as well as strength at the point of attack.

NEGATIVES: Lacks explosion and pop blocking and must use his angles better. Not overly cognizant nor does he show great wherewithal.

ANALYSIS: Comes from good blood lines and has the underlying skills to succeed but tough to consider him a developmental prospect based on his age.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
