Round 1, pick 31 (31 overall)
BIO: Starter in Cal's secondary the past three years. Totaled 53 tackles, three INTs, and broke up 10 passes as a senior. Junior totals were 54-3-1 and sophomore totals were 76-1-5 when he led the team in tackles. Used at both safety and corner at Cal.

POSITIVES: Nice-sized defensive back who seemingly took his game to another level last year. Tough, physical defender who plays heads-up football and works to get involved in the action. Disciplined covering the pass in centerfield but also does an adequate job with man-to-man coverage assignments. Takes good angles to the action displaying a quick break to the ball and positions himself to make positive plays. Works to get off blocks and defend the run and physical battling receivers in pass defense.

NEGATIVES: Needs work on his technique; lacks the fluid footwork, not smooth in his hips and struggles transitioning to run with receivers downfield.

ANALYSIS: Sized well for either corner or safety and the arrow seems to be pointing up.

PROJECTION: Late Third Round
