EDDIE STRONG
Position: OLB
Class: Sr
School: Ole Miss
Conference: SEC
Ht., Wt.: 6'2, 245
40 Time: 4.87
Grade: 3.27

BIO: First-team All-Conference selection as a senior after totaling 63 tackles, eight tackles for loss and 21/2 sacks, also breaking up five passes. Posted 105-4-1 as a junior, after sitting out the 2000 season with a stress fracture in his left foot.

POSITIVES: Strong, run defending linebacker best in a straight line. Forceful up the field, takes good angles to the action and wraps up tackling, bringing opposing ball carriers down on initial contact. Quick to read or anticipate the play, uses hand technique to stay off blocks and keeps with the action.

NEGATIVES: Lacks balance, speed and sideline-to-sideline range. Commits to a move up the field and gets caught out of position. Taken off the field on obvious passing downs.

ANALYSIS: Two down defender who struggles playing in space and may be best on the inside in a three-four alignment.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
