Round 4, pick 8 (105 overall)
BIO: Junior-eligible and first team All-Conference selection last year. Led the team in rushing carrying the ball 244 times for 1,141 yards with 12 scores, also catching 13 passes for 78 yards. Missed three games in 2002 after a cartilage tear in his left knee required surgery. Originally led Oregon in rushing the prior season, carrying the ball 161-1,007-7 and averaging 28.2 yards on 12 kick returns, garnering him second team All-Conference honors. Sat out the 2000 season after being dismissed from the Tennessee program and transferring to Oregon. Off the field problems reportedly include a DUI while at Oregon.

POSITIVES: Multi-talented runner who can help an offense in a variety of ways. Patient back with great vision and a runner who sets up his blocks, follows them, and displays the ability to run to daylight. Quick-footed, bounces it to the outside avoiding piles and is fast enough to get around the corner and beat defenders. Displays a burst through the hole. A shifty ball carrier who sets up defenders, freezes them and makes them miss. Effective running between tackles or on the outside. Deceptively strong and lays his shoulders into opponents, picking up the extra yardage off initial contact. Explosive returning kicks and quickly changes the tempo of a game with long returns. Adequate receiver out of the backfield.

NEGATIVES: Lacks the top size and may not be able to take the every-down pounding of a featured runner. Durability is questioned as are his off the field habits.

ANALYSIS: Skill-wise, a talented prospect who deserves an early ranking but, factoring in injuries and incidents away from football, will be drafted much lower than his talents warrant.

PROJECTION: Early Second Round
