Round 2, pick 28 (60 overall)
BIO: Second-team All-Conference selection in 2002 after 45 receptions for 606 yards with 4. Started 11 games as a junior totaling 37-583-5 after 47-752-3 in 10 starts as a sophomore. Shares the school single game receptions mark with 12, set in 1999. Ran well at the Combine posting a pair of hand times in the mid 4.3 range for scouts.

POSITIVES: Big, tall receiver who stands above the crowd. Effectively uses his frame to shield away opponents, extends and catches the ball away from his body. Makes the reception in stride, gets up vertically and out muscles or out positions opponents for the ball. Comes back to the QB, makes good use of the sidelines and also lends a helping hand blocking downfield for the running game.

NEGATIVES: Does not play to his timed speed and much slower once he puts on shoulder pads. Lacks route running skills and 10ds to gather into breaks, slowing down and losing quickness. Inconsistent catching the ball cleanly out of the air. Not quick transitioning from catching the ball to running after the reception.

ANALYSIS: Offers a lot of physical talent to work with but not a natural receiver and needs to develop his overall game.

PROJECTION: Late Second Round
