Round 5, pick 28 (163 overall)
BIO: Two-year starter who ends his Boston College career third on the all-time passing list. Completed 58.2 percent for 2,983 yards with 18 TDs and 17 INTs as a senior. Junior totals were 53.4 percent-2,016-25-10. Started one game as a sophomore against Notre Dame, completing 51 percent of his throws for 172 yards and two scores.

POSITIVES: Physically gifted passer coming off a disappointing senior campaign. Sets in the pocket with solid footwork, patient and buys time for receivers. Remains poised, can escape the rush and make the throw on the move. Possesses a quick release, strong arm and all the passes have speed or velocity. Airs it out and drives the ball downfield or threads a needle between defenders. Throws with good mechanics and tosses a catchable ball. Sells his fakes and displays the ability to pick up yardage with his legs if the play breaks down.

NEGATIVES: Stares down his primary target and seemingly predetermines where he'll throw the ball before taking the snap. Does not always see the field, forces the ball into coverage and hesitant making the correct choice.

ANALYSIS: Justifiably highly thought of coming into his senior campaign but struggled, made a lot poor decisions and bad INTs in 2002. Continually missed open receivers last year. Looked better at the Combine and has a future at the next level if he gets back on track.
