Grading System
JAMAL BURKE
Position: WR
Class: Sr
School: Boston Coll.
Conference: Big East
Ht., Wt.: 6'0½, 204
40 Time: 4.52
Grade: 3.23

BIO: Three-year starter who finished with 33 receptions, 498 receiving yards and three TDs as a senior also averaging 11.9 yards on 24 punt returns with an additional score. Junior totals were 25-320-8 as a receiver and a 21-yard average on 24 kick returns. Caught 26-386-3 as a red-shirt sophomore when he started 12 games.

POSITIVES: Athletically gifted prospect who never blossomed into a complete receiver. Physically strong and uses his frame to shield away defenders, gets up in a crowd and extends, catching the pass away from his body. Adjusts to the oncoming throw and makes the reception in stride. Plays faster than his forty time and immediately impacts the game as a return specialist.

NEGATIVES: Inconsistent receiving skills. Lacks an overall feel for the game, rarely comes back to the ball and gets caught off guard; unsure of himself and not on the same page as his QB. Marginal route running skills.

ANALYSIS: Flashes ability and teases with the skill to make a long reception or game impacting return abilities. Must start to pull the pieces together but should find a place on a practice squad.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
