Round 6, pick 22 (195 overall)
BIO: Full-time starter two of the past three seasons. Played in six games as a senior totaling 34 tackles, 7 1/2 tackles for loss and five sacks before breaking his ankle against Virginia Tech. Started the first eight games of the 2001 season registering 57-9-5 before suffering a neck injury which sidelined him the remainder of the year. Injured his knee during the first game of the 2000 campaign and did not play the rest of that season. Posted a career high 61 tackles as a red-shirt sophomore. Recently ran a 4.85 in workouts.

POSITIVES: Physically gifted defensive lineman who's had difficulty staying on the field. Breaks down, plays with forward lean and always around the ball making positive plays. Displays a nice swim move, rarely off his feet and moves well laterally. Intelligent, quick to read the action and concerned with defending the run as well as rushing the passer. Strong at the point of attack and also redirects to the action.

NEGATIVES: Not quick or explosive off the snap, lacks pursuit speed and possesses only a short area burst. Has a long history of debilitating injuries.

ANALYSIS: One of the top defensive line prospects coming into the season but as was the case in the past, forced to the sideline after being injured. Offers the skills necessary to be a productive left defensive end at the next level but a risk until he proves he some semblance of durability.

PROJECTION: Mid Fourth Round
