Round 3, pick 13 (77 overall)
BIO: Junior entry and a second team All-Conference selection last season after starting 12 games and carrying the ball 237 times for 1,179 yards with eight scores, catching 14 passes for 107 yards. Started five games as a sophomore but limited during the second half of the season because of a hip flexor-groin injury yet still totaled 119-548-6 on the ground with 19-242-2 as a receiver. Started two games as a freshman posting 75-330-5 on the ground and 10-87 as a receiver. Besides the groin injury has a history of ailments which have caused him to miss games including a knee injury during the 2000 campaign and a broken bone in his foot which kept him on the sidelines in the spring of 2001.

POSITIVES: Physically gifted runner who carries the load for an offense when healthy. Combines power, speed, as well as running instincts and always picking up positive yardage. Runs with vision, weaves through the traffic and breaks tackles, picking up yardage off initial contact. Quick through the hole and immediately gets to top speed, displaying the ability to beat defenders around the corner and take it up the field. Patient, sets up blocks and immediately finds the running lane. Bounces it to the outside avoiding piles, gets a head of steam going and rarely brought down by the first tackler. Tremendous athlete with great running form and also a fine receiver out of the backfield.

NEGATIVES: Marginal blocker and prior to last season plagued with injury.

ANALYSIS: Physically the best running back in this draft and the most complete package. May just be hitting his stride as a football player and could potentially be a one man show at the next level but injuries will throw up several red flags.
