Grading System
BYRON HARDMON
Position: OLB
Class: Sr
School: Florida
Conference: SEC
Ht., Wt.: 6'1, 232
40 Time: 4.83
Grade: 3.33

BIO: Played middle linebacker as a senior starting 13 games and leading Florida in tackles with 168, placing him fourth in the nation. Junior totals were 42 tackles with two pass breakups when he started nine of 11 games at strong side linebacker. Split starting duties as a sophomore and posted 44 tackles.

POSITIVES: Hard working linebacker who may have a difficult time measuring up at the next level. Fires up the field quickly filling gaps in run defense, squares into tackles and wraps up. Reads the play, snuffs out the ball and displays good range. Gets depth on his pass drops and effective in zone coverage. Works hard and stays with his assignments.

NEGATIVES: Undersized, gets caught up in the wash or runs around blocks rather than taking them head on. Some difficulty in man coverage. Does not time well in the forty.

ANALYSIS: Runs like a middle linebacker but built for the weak side. May have a shot in a 34 defense on the outside where he is allowed to flow to the ball.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
