BIO: Two-year starter who missed time as a senior with assorted injuries. Involved in an auto accident prior to the 2002 season and missed the first half of the campaign with a right wrist problem.
POSITIVES: Big, athletic offensive tackle who can play on either side of the line of scrimmage. Quick off the snap, adjusts to oncoming defenders and strong in his upper body. Displays excellent arm punch, easily turns opponents out and knocks them from their angle of attack. Gets to the second level and takes linebackers out of the action or moves opponents off the line blocking for the run. Works hard and stays with the play.
NEGATIVES: Not a natural knee bender, lacks body control and haphazard in his movement. Must improve his use of blocking angles and body positioning. Also not overly quick in the head or very aware.
ANALYSIS: Set back by injuries which really hampered his development and looks more like a big athlete out there struggling to become an offensive lineman rather than a stout blocker. Needs time and patience but if the proper investment is made will eventually start and be successful at the next level.
PROJECTION: Early Second Round
