Round 4, pick 27 (124 overall)
BIO: Junior-eligible who led Illinois in receiving the past two seasons. Caught 65 passes for 1,010 yards and nine TDs last year after 65-1,062-10 as a red-shirt sophomore. Sat out the 2000 season after suffering a broken femur but impacted as a true freshman in 99 compiling numbers of 30-511-2.

POSITIVES: Tall, fluid receiver with a penchant for making plays down the field. Reads the defense, settles into the open spot and sneaks it behind the secondary on occasion. Shields away defenders with his frame, extends his hands and looks the pass in, timing or anticipating the reception nicely. Doubled by opponents, yet goes up in a crowd for the tough grab. Uses the sidelines well, comes back to the ball and displays soft hands. Runs well laterally catching the pass in stride and very natural in all aspects of the game.

NEGATIVES: Lacks the second gear, loses focus, and not always willing to lay it on the line or expose himself to make the reception. Falls asleep and lazily lets the pass get into his frame. Needs a lot of work on his route running skills.

ANALYSIS: Must improve the details of his game, but a prospect that can develop into a number one receiver at the next level.
