FRED BARR
Position: ILB
Class: Sr
School: Iowa
Conference: Big Ten
Ht., Wt.: 6'0, 242
40 Time: 4.85
Grade: 3.16

BIO: First-team All-Conference selection as a senior leading Iowa with 114 tackles, also posting 10 1/2 tackles for loss and one sack. Honorable mention choice the prior year recording 116-7-2, and breaking up four passes in 12 starts. Started six games as a true sophomore and totaled 72-3-0.

POSITIVES: Blue collar linebacker best making plays up the field. Reads and anticipates the action, plays assignment football and effectively QBs the defense. Snuffs out the ball, gets through blocks and strong at the point of attack. Tackles with solid technique.

NEGATIVES: Struggles moving laterally, has difficulty in pass coverage and lacks sideline-to-sideline range. Not fast to the flanks nor does he display the ability to immediately alter his angle of attack.

ANALYSIS: Could be an inexpensive back-up on the inside but must make it on special team's abilities.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
