Grading System
Position: QB
Class: Sr
School: Appa. St.
Conference: Southern
Ht., Wt.: 6'2, 240
40 Time: 5.15
Grade: 3.1

BIO: Three-year starter who passed for 59.2 percent-1,949-15-8 as a senior in 10 games. Junior totals were 54.3 percent-2,249-17-15 in 13 starts after a career high of 59.2 percent-2,364-16-7 as a sophomore.

POSITIVES: Nice-sized pocket passer who effectively led Appalachian State the past three seasons. Big and tough, withstands the rush and gets the pass off even if it means getting clobbered in the pocket. Displays a quick release, airs out the deep ball and all his passes have velocity. Loses nothing throwing on the run and generally puts the pass in the vicinity of his receiver.

NEGATIVES: Moves his feet around never setting them before releasing the throw and mechanics a bit shabby. Stares down the primary target, tosses the ball into coverage and throws with an inconsistent point of release. Not always willing to take what the defense gives him nor is he on the same page as his receivers.

ANALYSIS: Displays the underlying skills to be a successful QB but relies on arm strength and natural abilities rather than proper throwing fundamentals to get the job done. Never gave the idea that he grew mentally into the position.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
