JOSH JEFFRIES
Position: DE
Class: Sr
School: Appa. St.
Conference: Southern
Ht., Wt.: 6'0½, 255
40 Time: 5.03
Grade: 3.07

BIO: Three-year starter winning both All-America and All-Conference honors every year since his junior season. Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2002 with numbers of 81-25-8.0 in 12 games. Posted 64-17-14 as a junior after 61 tackles in 2000.

POSITIVES: Tough, hard-working defender best classified as a 'tweener. Breaks down playing low with leverage and works hard. Displays a good head for the game, disciplined and stays with assignments. Wraps up tackling and strong at the point of attack. Stood up over tackle or lined up in a three point stance.

NEGATIVES: Not quick or explosive off the snap, lacks the quick, fluid change of direction and slow shedding blocks once engaged at the point. Would not be considered a great edge rusher and lacks explosion off the corner.

ANALYSIS: Limited growth potential and a little slow to be moved to outside linebacker. Could find a home in a three-four scheme over tackle.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent
