BIO: Former defensive end who moved to linebacker as a sophomore then proceeded to start every game the rest of his college career. First-team All-Conference selection as a senior after leading the league with 193 tackles, also registering 6 1/2 tackles for loss and three sacks. Once again led the conference in tackles as a junior totaling 145-5-3, garnering All-League honors. Sophomore numbers were 156-10-4, the first time he led the conference in tackles and won league honors. Only intercepted a single pass in college. POSITIVES: Productive, run stuffing linebacker with limited skills for the next level. Disciplined, quick to recognize the action and takes good angles to the play. Fluid altering his angle of attack, plays with forward lean and squirms through the traffic on his way to the ball carrier. Scrapes well laterally and works to get involved. NEGATIVES: Not fast or explosive, slow shedding blocks and gets caught up in the wash. Minimal skills making plays in reverse and hesitant when the ball is in the air. ANALYSIS: Hard working but not as good as his numbers would dictate and size-speed may limit him at the next level.
