Selected by Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Round 3, pick 33 (97 overall)
BIO: Started 13 games as a senior completing 59.3 percent of his passes for 3,207 yards with 26 TDs and 12 INTs. Twelve game starter as a junior with numbers of 59.1-2,603-22-11 after posting 57.3 percent-1,064-8-7 in six starts as a sophomore.

POSITIVES: Nice-sized QB best as a short or intermediate range passer. Technically sound setting up to throw, poised in the pocket and patient. Hits receivers in stride on the crossing routes, smartly places the sideline throws and also goes to the safe underneath target if nothing is available. Above average arm and intermediate throws display zip. Tough, buys time for receivers and sits in the pocket as long as possible to get the throw off. Displays skill throwing on the run and at the same time fakes defenders out with play action or run action.

NEGATIVES: Slow dropping into the pocket, has difficulty eluding the rush and not a threat making plays with his legs. Zeros in on primary targets and does not always see the field or find the safety. Prone to throwing into coverage. Can not drive the ball downfield and deep accuracy is woeful. Throws with a three-quarters motion.

ANALYSIS: Never met the high expectations placed on him in college even if they were unwarranted. Came on late as a senior but for the most part has been a streaky passer throughout college that has not shown up in the big spot. May not possess the great upside for the next level but if placed in a system which primarily implements a short passing game with an emphasis on running the ball, he could flourish at the next level.
