BIO: Four-year starter who manned both the left and right tackle spots for Marshall. First-team All-Conference selection as both a junior and senior. Dressed for more than 50 consecutive games with the first team, a rare bench mark for college lineman.
POSITIVES: Nice-sized lineman best position on the strong side. Quick off the snap, strong at the point of attack and easily tosses opponents aside. Uses outstanding body positioning, effective with his blocking angles and keeps defenders in front of him. Can shuffle and slide in a small area, fights with his hands and powerful in his upper body. Smart, cognizant and works hard. Patient and does not overextend into his blocks, yet controls opponents once engaged at the point.
NEGATIVES: Not a natural knee bender, gets tall and best in confined quarters. Lacks blocking range, marginal skills on the second level and has difficulty with quick, nimble edge rushers.
ANALYSIS: Understands the position and plays with a great deal of intelligence but may not have the feet or raw athletic skills to stay on the blind side. Still, as he develops physically, an eventual starter at right tackle.
PROJECTION: Mid Fifth Round
