SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Tampa Bay quarterback Brad Johnson was added to the NFC Pro Bowl roster Thursday as a replacement for Atlanta's Michael Vick, who's skipping the game to have a bunion removed from his foot.

Coach Jon Gruden called the selection an honor that's "well deserved," however Johnson said the trip to Hawaii for the NFL's annual season-ending all-star game was "the last thing on my mind."

"My one goal I wrote down this year was to make the Super Bowl," Johnson said after practice at the University of California-San Diego. "I didn't write about percentages. I didn't write about Pro Bowls. It was the Super Bowl. So my dream and my quest has come true. Now to finish it is to win it."

Three players -- defensive tackle Chartric Darby and offensive linemen Cosey Coleman and Jeff Christy -- were held out of some drills for precautionary reasons. Darby (calf) and Coleman (knee) are listed as probable for Sunday's Super Bowl, while Christy is not listed on the Bucs injury report.

"Everybody practiced, but we just limit some players in certain periods," Gruden said.

Security guards surrounding the perimeter of the field spotted two spectators watching a portion of practice from some bushes and asked them to leave. Most of Friday's workout will be devoted to short-yardage situations.
