BIO: Three-year starter at right tackle who played in the first three games of the 2003 season before a knee injury cut his campaign short.
POSITIVES: Hard-working lineman with both size and growth potential. Quick off the snap, slides laterally in pass protection and walls defenders from the action. Blocks with good lean and looks to help out linemates.
NEGATIVES: Bends at the waist, lacks balance and body control. Needs to improve the strength of his base.
ANALYSIS: Even before the knee injury, Phillips was a project that needed time and development. Sitting on the sidelines for two-thirds of his senior season did not help but should be given a look in camp if healthy.
