BIO: Three-year starter who totaled 24/2/8 last season after 39/1 the prior year.
POSITIVES: Compact, defensive tackle best defending the run. Explodes off the snap, quick to locate the action and hustles to the ball. Built low to the ground, gets underneath blocks and also avoids them with good hand technique. Fluid changing direction and redirects well to the ball carrier.
NEGATIVES: Lacks a sustained burst of speed and not a defender that makes many plays up or down the line of scrimmage. Moved off the point by blocks or handled by a single opponent.
ANALYSIS: Veal has the explosion and leverage to be used in the three-technique at the next level but must improve several facets of his game. Needs to get stronger, better conditioned and start making plays laterally.
