BIO: Starting fullback the past two seasons after seeing time at linebacker as a sophomore. Only carried the ball a single time last season and caught five passes for a combined total of 54 yards offense.
POSITIVES: Hard-working lead blocker with marginal athleticism and limited upside for the next level. Displays top blocking vision, jolt at the point and removes defenders from the play once engaged in a block. Effectively uses angles in pass protection, occasionally displays explosion and works hard in all aspects. Adequate receiver out of the backfield.
NEGATIVES: Lacks speed and does not create space for running backs, nor is he a receiving threat more than a few yards off the line of scrimmage.
ANALYSIS: A self-made player rarely intimidated by anything, Johnson lacks the pure size and quickness for the next level. A one-dimensional prospect that does not play to his timed speed, Johnson could catch the fancy of a coach who falls in love with his approach to the game.
