BIO: Three-year starter at defensive tackle who posted 38/8/4.5 as a senior after 33/8/2 the prior year. Had a career high 48 tackles as a senior.
POSITIVES: High-motor defender known to lead by example. Plays with excellent leverage and pad level, quick off the snap and gets underneath blockers. Chases hard sideline-to-sideline and constantly around the ball. Keeps driving up the field and uses effective hand technique to get off blocks. Displays a burst of closing speed as well as a good sense of awareness.
NEGATIVES: Undersized, handled by a single blocker or turned off the line. Wears down over the course of a game and lacks sustained speed. Does not have much growth potential.
ANALYSIS: One of the more underrated players on a talented Auburn defense, Johnson is known as someone that does what is asked of him and prepares hard during the week. May never be able to take the pounding of an every down lineman at the next level but could be an effective backup in a variety of systems.
