BIO: Two-year starter who led the team in receptions as a senior, posting 70/897/2. Junior totals were 59/591/2 after sitting out the 2001 season with a broken leg.
POSITIVES: Nice-sized wide out that fits the definition of a possession receiver. Vertically extends or adjusts to pull the ball out of the air, gets down to scoop up the low throws or reaches back to grab the errant ball. Tracks the deep pass and consistently makes the reception away from his frame. Stays low exiting breaks and offers the quarterback a nice target.
NEGATIVES: Long strider with minimal built-up speed. Does not always win out in and prone to dropping the easy reception. Average blocker for a big wide out.
ANALYSIS: A big-bodied receiver with the physical tools to succeed in the NFL, Youngblood has never taken his game to the next level or dominated the way he is capable. Unpolished in most aspects of his game but size alone is worth a late-round pick.
